As we approach the festive holiday season, Brisbane North officers are always very aware that for many families it is a time of extreme financial pressure, relationship pressures, high stress, family breakups, and domestic and family violence.
Last week, officers from Boondall Police Station were assisting a local family who had escaped a very violent domestic violence situation. This family of six children, aged from 10-weeks to 6-years, were facing a very grim, dark, and sad Christmas.
Today, officers from Boondall Police Station were able to make an early Christmas delivery to this family, as well as some local charity organisations, with a large amount of donated goods from community groups within the North Brisbane District. These items will be truly appreciated and needed by those they have been gifted to.
