Cooktown in Far North Queensland has commenced the latest Uniforms 4 Kids sewing group, led by Queensland Ambulance Officer Kylie White.

On Tuesday 4th August 2020, Kylie, volunteer sewer Kati, Emma from the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and other members of the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) attended the Hope Vale School.

The kids had a fantastic day, meeting Dylan, one of the QAS Officers on our swing tags, the other QAS members depicted on the tags also opened up many conversations such as one with the Coms Operator leading to a discussion about calling 000. Emma from the QPS was able to explain the role of the Police dogs.

The kids had a great time and loved picking out their new clothes. The smiles were infectious.
